You know the old saying, “Hindsight is always 20/20.” Well, when I look back on the sequences of events that led up to the night I received my vision, God’s plan is crystal clear.

It started in 1987 when Pastor A. L. Gill wrote a book called Not Made For Defeat. It has since been revised and updated and is now called Destined For Dominion. Pastor Gill was attending a Healing Explosion convention in Seattle where my husband Fred was assisting. Fred was helping set up tables, booths and anything else that all the attendees needed. During the convention Fred passed by Pastor Gill’s book table and noticed one of his books. Yes, it was Not Made For Defeat. Something (we now know was the Holy Spirit) compelled him to buy that book for me. When I asked him what it was about, he said he wasn’t sure but thought it had something to do with spiritual warfare. This is an area of my life I am all too familiar with.

I read the first few chapters and thought WOW!! What a great book! The next evening, after Fred and our two young children were asleep, I sat down in my favorite rocking chair to read. I felt very strongly that I must finish the book that night. I did finish around 2:00am. I laid the book down on my lap and just sat there in total peace and quiet letting my mind go back and forth over the book, remembering all my favorite parts. It would have been so easy to sit there all night in that quiet, meditative, prayerful place but, it was late and I needed to get to bed. I placed the book on the table next to my chair and as I started to get up - it happened.

Instantly, it was if a huge hole opened up in my ceiling and this incredible, golden, shimmering, glistening, awesomely beautiful beam of light shot directly in front of me. The energy from it was so powerful that it sent me backward into my chair. I was absolutely stunned and speechless. I couldn’t move at all. The only way I can describe this light is that it was if it were alive. It emanated with such energy. I think if I had been able to move, I could have reached out and actually touched it. Then, as I sat there, dumbfounded, staring at this awesome light, three very large, golden, beautiful old-fashioned keys appeared - just floating there inside the light. They seemed to have some kind of writing on them but I didn’t recognize the language. I was in such a state of shock that my heart was pounding so hard I felt it was going to come right out of my chest. Then, I heard a voice, not audible, but in my spirit. It was overwhelming! I believe with all my heart and soul that it was The Holy Spirit speaking to me. He said “These symbolize The Keys of the Kingdom of Heaven and they are to go into All the world so All can know.”

As suddenly as they appeared, the vision of the Keys was gone. I have no idea how long this vision lasted. It seemed like forever and instant all at the same time.

I jumped out of my chair and ran upstairs, waking Fred with such excitement he probably thought the house was on fire. He was able to calm me down enough to grasp what I had just experienced. Needless to say, I did NOT sleep that night!

For the next few days I tried desperately to draw what I had seen but my skills as an artist are quite inadequate. So, we contacted a friend who is a talented artist. He said he would be thrilled to help. He drew each key as I described them to him. We were all pretty emotional.

So many miraculous things have happened along the way that it would take too much time to list them now. Let me just say that, step by step, God has led the way providing everything and everyone. I once heard Pastor Perry Stone say that God never gives a vision without a provision. I can truly attest to that.

It took a couple off months of prayer and waiting to determine how to go about this “Great Commission.” Once again, The Holy Spirit showed me, in a very special way, how to do it. It would take too long to explain it all but now I had a plan. I’ll make them small and put them on a necklace.

We took the drawings to a jeweler and a few days later I was holding in my hand, actually touching, those three beautiful, wonderful Keys of the Kingdom, with Greek words written on them:

Authority-for the Authority of the name of Jesus,

Power-for the Power of the Holy Spirit in us, and

Dominion-for our Dominion over All the earth and everything in it.

When you wear The Keys of the Kingdom you too are taking them into ALL THE WORLD sharing the knowledge of our Authority, Power and Dominion, so that we can overcome sickness, addictions, demonic oppression, poverty, etc. Satan does NOT want us to have this knowledge! Wearing our Keys gives us an incredible opportunity to open the door and share the Good News! WE CAN OVERCOME!
